My computer died. It met a sad end and even wailed. Seriously. I had been having some trouble with my computer one morning because it was making a weird buzzing noise and was taking a long time to boot up. So, I went outside with the dog so he could go wee wee outside and not on my carpet, and my daughter came to the door calling for me in a panic. I thought she wast telling me my phone was ringing and couldn’t figure out what was so bad about that. When I got into the house, I heard this weird, high-pitched moan/screech sound. When I realized it was my computer, I turned it off right away. I called David, turned it on again so he could hear it, and even being at work and being the computer guy that he is, he knew that it was toast. Sigh. It’s kind of a love-hate relationship with computers. They’re great when they work. But when they don’t work, it can sure be stressful.
Thankfully, I had most everything backed up. Now, I’m kicking back, relaxing, and typing on David’s iMac (oh yeah!). I guess it isn’t such a bad thing to have my computer die after all…but I need to stop relaxing because I have some housework to do before we leave for colorful Colorado on Monday. By the way, in some rather exciting news (I’m not pregnant, Mom 🙂 ), gas is $1.56 at the Casey’s near our house! Does anybody remember the last time it was that “cheap?” I DO! It was 8 years ago, baby! Too bad you can’t stock up on gas. David and I were just talking about that this morning, about filling up our trash cans, sock drawers, and baking dishes with gas because it’s so cheap now. 🙂 Mark my words, by this time next year, gas will be free…
you are just so cute Lisa! I love you 🙂
Lisa, You are too much, thanks for the laugh out loud chuckle today!
We’ll miss you while you are away!
Praying for ya.
